ACORE Welcomes Second Cohort of Accelerate Member Companies
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) announced today that ten companies have been selected to join the Accelerate membership program.
Launched in 2021, ACORE’s Accelerate membership program is designed to support the success of small emerging renewable energy companies owned and/or operated by leaders who identify as Women, Asian-Indian, Asian-Pacific, Black, Hispanic, or Native American. ACORE supports Accelerate members through a complimentary two-year ACORE membership, dedicated staff, access to ACORE events, targeted industry briefings, exclusive tools, connections and advocacy.
“ACORE’s Accelerate members are blazing a trail for more renewable energy companies owned and operated by women and people of color to enter into the renewable energy space while also delivering transformational clean energy technology, development, socio-economic and restorative justice advancements our industry and country need the most,” said ACORE Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs Constance Thompson. “Achieving a just transition to a renewable energy economy means breaking down the systemic barriers to equity and inclusion within our industry, and I am so proud of the strides our Accelerate members have already made toward ensuring that all people reap the benefits of the energy transition. I am delighted to welcome ten new companies to our Accelerate family today, and I look forward to watching them flourish in the years to come.”
“ACORE is thrilled to welcome the second cohort of Accelerate member companies to our organization,” said ACORE President and CEO Gregory Wetstone. “In less than a year, our Accelerate program has already facilitated hundreds of business-to-business interactions, helped several of our Accelerate members scale their enterprise, invited Accelerate members to speak at our signature events, and connected many of our Accelerate members with pro-bono legal counsel and other helpful resources. While we are proud of this progress toward achieving a more diverse and inclusive renewable energy sector, we recognize that we have a long way to go. The ACORE team is excited to continue supporting our growing network of Accelerate members.”
The ten companies joining ACORE’s Accelerate membership program include:
