At a recent United States Energy Administration (USEA) and ACORE briefing for congressional staff, panelists agreed that smart grid expansion will benefit economic development, affordability, national security, and resilience – and that thoughtful policy change is necessary to facilitate that rapid expansion.

As a Communications Fellow, Lauren collaborates with the Communications Team on multiple organization‑led initiatives, including ACORE4 and the Macro Grid Initiative. In her role, she supports social media campaigns and develops digital content to advance ACORE’s mission and reach.
Before stepping into her current role, she served as the Events and Marketing Intern for ACORE where she worked alongside the Senior Manager of Marketing and assisted in event-related promotions, signage, and social media campaigns. Prior to joining ACORE, Lauren worked with Seaside Sustainability where she conducted research on blue technology and the United States Green Chamber of Commerce where she led communication initiatives at a global level.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from American University and brings a strong science communication background to her work.
