ACORE filed comments in response to the Department of Commerce’s proposed implementation of duties on additional aluminum, steel, and copper derivative articles under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962. The Commerce Department has proposed to include 14 categories of additional goods into existing tariff structures, including four different types of electric conductor cables. ACORE argues that these conductor cables should be tariffed at 15%, instead of the proposed 25%, in order to support the Administration’s goals of accelerating the massive industrial base buildout underway across the country.
