Chris Higginbotham is ACORE’s Vice President of Communications, leading the organization’s day-to-day communication operations, managing outreach to the press, and positioning ACORE as a thought leader in the clean energy sector.
Chris previously served as the press officer at the U.S. Energy Information Administration, where he helped reporters and members of the energy sector translate complex energy data for general audiences. He has also worked in international trade and is a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army Reserve.
Chris studied broadcast performance and production at Appalachian State University and has master’s degrees from the University of Oklahoma and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When he isn’t in the office, he is probably cooking, pulling invasive plants, or playing with his kids at the park.
