ACORE Welcomes First Cohort of Accelerate Members

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) announced today that 15 companies have been selected to participate in its Accelerate membership program.

The first cohort of Accelerate members includes 548 Capital, Clearloop, Full Service Solar LLC, IberSun North America, Lyssy Energy Enterprises, Navajo Power, Panamint Capital, Reneu Energy, Solar Stewards, Sole Trader Renewable Energy, SUNTEX, Terran Material Resources, The Booker Group, Upepo Group, and WeSolar.

ACORE launched the Accelerate membership program in December to help improve diversity, equity and inclusion within the renewable energy sector and reduce barriers for participants from underrepresented communities. Through Accelerate, smaller renewable energy companies owned and operated by women and people of color receive a complimentary two-year ACORE membership, along with access to special networking programs and events, eligibility for pro bono services, and thought leadership opportunities.

“We’re thrilled to have this impressive group of companies join our organization,” said ACORE President and CEO Gregory Wetstone. “Our hope is that the Accelerate program will help ensure that business leaders in the renewable energy economy better reflect the diversity of our society. Equitable representation is important to us here at ACORE and is central to increasing the availability of affordable, pollution-free renewable energy to American communities.”
