ACORE Welcomes 2023 Class of New and Returning Board Members

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), a national nonprofit that unites finance, policy and technology to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy, today announced its new Board class for 2023.

Effective January 1, two new members joined the ACORE Board of Directors:

  • William Demas, Senior Managing Director and Head of Americas for Macquarie Asset Management’s Green Investment Group
  • Monique Dyers, Principal and CEO of Ensight Energy Consulting

In addition, the following current Board members were elected or appointed to new three-year terms: Kristal Hansley, WeSolar; Ja Kao, 42 Renewables; Kevin Lynch, Avangrid Renewables; Phil Musser, NextEra Energy; Urvi Parekh, Meta; Gaurav Raniwala, GE Energy Financial Services; Martin Torres, BlackRock; and Raymond Wood, Bank of America.

ACORE’s Board plays a key role in helping the organization as it works to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy.”

More background on the newly elected ACORE Board members is available below:

  • William Demas is Senior Managing Director & Head of Americas, Green Investment Group, within Macquarie Asset Management. Will re-joined Macquarie from Stonepeak Partners, where he was instrumental in leading the firm’s America’s renewable energy and energy transition investment activities. Prior to Stonepeak, he spearheaded and led Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) in the Americas. Prior to CIP, Will was a senior member of Macquarie Capital’s renewable energy principal and investment and advisory team and spent the early part of his career at Good Energies, one of the first dedicated clean technology venture funds. He began his career at Lazard, as a founding member of its Clean Technology and Renewable Energy advisory business.
  • Monique Dyers, P.E. is the Principal and CEO of Ensight Energy Consulting, LLC, which provides engineering, project management and technical due diligence services to developers, owners, financial institutions and other stakeholders of renewable energy, power and energy infrastructure projects. Ms. Dyers has over 17 years of experience in the energy and power industry and has contributed to the industry in various technical and leadership roles. She was elected by the members of ACORE’s Accelerate Membership Program to represent them on the ACORE Board of Directors.
