ACORE Announces New Vice President of Policy

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) announced today that Allison Nyholm has joined the organization as Vice President of Policy.

In this role, Nyholm will promote and defend policies to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy in Congress, state legislatures and relevant agencies.

Originally from Alaska, Nyholm served as Sen. Lisa Murkowski’s policy adviser following prior roles working for Alaska governors in Washington, D.C. She joins ACORE from Steptoe & Johnson LLP, where she represented numerous associations and energy clients across the renewable and environment sectors.

“We are delighted to welcome Allison to the ACORE leadership team,” said ACORE President and CEO Gregory Wetstone. “Her political acumen, professional relationships and coalition-building experience will be huge assets to our members as we expand renewable energy’s reach across the United States.”

Nyholm’s first day at ACORE was August 2.
