ACORE Welcomes New Members to its Board of Directors

Senior Leaders from Goldman Sachs and GE Join Board of National Renewable Energy Organization

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), the nation’s premier pan-renewable organization, today announced the appointment of two new members to its Board of Directors: Vikas Agrawal, Head of the Alternative Energy Investing Group at Goldman Sachs, and Gaurav Raniwala, Global Head of Renewable Energy at GE Energy Financial Services.

“We are thrilled to add such accomplished energy professionals as Vikas and Gaurav to ACORE’s Board of Directors,” said Gregory Wetstone, ACORE’s President and CEO. “Their expertise and experience will be tremendously helpful to our work accelerating America’s transition to renewable energy.”

  • Vikas Agrawal is Head of the Alternative Energy Investing Group at Goldman Sachs, where he has worked for over 12 years. The Goldman Sachs Alternative Energy Investing Group is a dedicated platform deploying capital in the alternative energy sector through a broad range of financing solutions including equity, debt, and tax equity. The group is committed to the continuous development of the energy sector, from the conventional renewable energy sector to storage solutions and other sustainable technologies.
  • Gaurav Raniwala, Global Head of Renewable Energy at GE Energy Financial Services (“EFS”), leads the organization’s Global Renewables team, which is responsible for underwriting and structuring investments in the global renewable energy sector.  EFS supports GE’s renewable energy customers and projects across the world and is a leading tax equity investor in the U.S. With experience investing more than $15 billion since 2004, the group finances onshore, offshore and re-powering wind projects.
