Kathleen Frangione is Head of Government Affairs and Market Strategy for Ørsted North America. In this role, she leads the company’s engagement with government officials at the federal, state and local levels. Her team also is responsible for partnerships and collaboration with partners and stakeholders in the markets and communities where Ørsted is developing projects and making long-term investments.
Kathleen previously worked at Amazon as the company’s Head of Environmental Policy. Before joining Amazon, Kathleen served as Chief Policy Advisor to New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, where she managed all policy issues for the Governor and played a leading role in establishing the state’s clean energy strategy.
Prior to her service in the Garden State, she spent 15 years focused on climate policy in Washington, DC. As Executive Vice President at the Signal Group, she developed and implemented advocacy strategies for leading companies and organizations. Prior to that, she led climate strategy for the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee and previously managed all environment and energy issues for then-Senator John Kerry. She has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College and a Master’s degree from the Yale School of the Environment.
Kathleen is based in New Jersey, where she lives with her husband and two children.
