Jennifer Coleman

Jennifer comes to ACORE after 14 years at the National Audubon Society where she most recently supported the Chief Conservation Officer. Prior to that role, she was part of the Development Services team that migrated the organization’s donor data into Salesforce and helped to establish procedures that ensured data integrity across the organization. When she arrived at Audubon, it was in the Education department, where she supported programs such as Toyota TogetherGreen, a partnership that supported emerging conservation leaders in completing projects that employ creative approaches and engage diverse communities to help achieve measurable conservation results, and Audubon at Home, which helps people create and maintain natural habitat around their homes and communities. Before Audubon, Jennifer worked as a high school science teacher in North Carolina.

Jennifer has a B.S. in Environmental Biology from Long Island University Southampton, a M.A. in Teaching from East Carolina University, and a Masters Certificate in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She resides in Silver Spring, with her husband and daughter and has a son in college at The Citadel. Jennifer enjoys birding, gardening, reading, and running/walking in nature in her free time.
