Colleen Pickford is a strategic operations leader and seasoned connector in the clean energy and sustainability space. As Chief Operating Officer at ACORE, she partners closely with the President & CEO and the Board of Directors to ensure that ACORE’s mission, priorities, and member-driven work remain aligned and responsive to evolving market needs.

In addition to expanding ACORE’s corporate fundraising, Colleen played a pivotal role in launching ACORE Accelerate, a targeted membership initiative designed to elevate emerging small and medium-sized clean energy companies.

Prior to joining ACORE, Colleen built her career at the nexus of environmental innovation and private-sector engagement. She has worked extensively to bridge the gap between corporate sustainability ambitions and policy implementation—particularly by helping companies adopt sustainable product standards and ecosystem-wide approaches to climate strategy.

Colleen earned a B.S. in Environmental Resource Management from Penn State and a M.S. in Natural Resources from Virginia Tech. She is based in Rhode Island, where she contributes to local land and water conservation initiatives.
