Head of Clean and Renewable Energy, Meta

Amanda Yang

Amanda Yang is the Head of Clean and Renewable Energy at Meta, where she leads the teams responsible for strategy, procurement, and commercial execution of Meta’s global clean and advanced energy portfolio. Since 2017, Amanda has driven the growth of Meta’s contracted clean energy from 1 GW to over 30 GW across six countries and 28 U.S. states, partnering closely with project developers and utilities. In addition to enabling the buildout of new solar, wind, and battery storage, her team is advancing next-generation resources such as enhanced geothermal, advanced nuclear, and long-duration energy storage to deliver clean firm power. This work supports the energy needs of Meta’s expanding global data center footprint and has enabled Meta to match its electricity use with 100% clean and renewable energy since 2020.

Prior to Meta, Amanda held commercial roles at Eos Energy Storage, Recurrent Energy, and Southern California Edison. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Pomona College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
