Future of Renewables in Focus at Annual ACORE Policy Forum
Industry leaders, elected officials to discuss impact of new political, policy agendas on sector
Washington, DC – On March 16, executives from across the renewable energy sector will join bipartisan elected officials in Washington, D.C. to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry in a new national policy landscape.
This year’s National Renewable Energy Policy Forum will explore how new leadership at the federal and state levels coupled with new agendas on energy deployment, tax reform, regulatory processes and infrastructure investment might affect the renewables sector – and will develop strategies to further accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy.
The National Renewable Energy Policy Forum is an annual event hosted by the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE). The event is open to press.
The Policy Forum takes place at a time of remarkable growth for the renewable energy industry. Last year alone, the sector attracted $46 billion in new investment, and since 2008 renewables have made up more than half of all new power generation capacity in the United States, according to Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF).
