ACORE Statement on Proposed SEC Climate Disclosure Rule

Statement From Gregory Wetstone, President and CEO of the American Council on Renewable Energy:

“ACORE is glad to see the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) make progress on corporate climate disclosures as part of the Biden administration’s whole-of-government approach to address the climate crisis. The proposed rule changes by the Commission today will help investors access the consistent, transparent, and forward-looking information they need to ensure their investments are helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contributing to climate solutions, like renewable energy. ACORE and its members look forward to further engagement with the SEC and other stakeholders as this rulemaking process continues.”
