ACORE Statement on Auxin Solar Tariff Petition

Statement From Gregory Wetstone, President and CEO of the American Council on Renewable Energy:

“Trade petitions deserve a fair examination, particularly when there is a concern for human rights. We expect the merits of the Auxin Solar tariff request on solar panels from Southeast Asia to be thoroughly reviewed and denied based on the facts. The solar and renewable energy industry at large will continue ramping up efforts to rebuild our manufacturing base and maintain a clean supply chain that serves the interests of our domestic clean energy economy. Our expectation is that this petition will ultimately prove to be no more than a distraction from those efforts.”
