Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Clearway Energy Group

Steve Ryder is an Executive Vice President and the Chief Financial Officer for Clearway Energy Group, a leading US developer, owner and operator of clean energy assets with more than 10GW of operating assets under ownership and a development pipeline in excess of 30GW.  In his role, Steve oversees all key finance functions for Clearway including capital markets, corporate finance, FP&A, treasury, insurance and risk.  He is a member of Clearway’s Capital Committee and Energy Risk Committee.

Prior to Clearway, Steve was the Chief Financial Officer for Invenergy LLC, where over his 13 years at the firm he oversaw a broad range of commercial, administrative and financial functions. 

Prior to Invenergy, Mr. Ryder served for more than 15 years in several finance and technical capacities at GE Energy Financial Services (GE Capital), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and AT&T, including expatriate assignments in Europe and Asia.

Steve earned a Master’s Degree in Public Affairs from Princeton University and a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering, magna cum laude, from Tufts University. He also earned the designation of a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
