Shannon Kellogg is Vice President of Public Policy at Amazon, where he leads the company’s public policy efforts in support of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) business in the Americas. In this role, he manages public policy and government affairs professionals focusing on the US (at both the federal and state/local levels), Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, regulated industries, and the public sector.
Prior to joining Amazon in October 2012, Shannon served as Senior Director of Government Affairs for EMC Corporation. During his nine-year tenure at EMC and RSA (the Security Division of EMC), Shannon also served as Director of Information Security Policy and Director of Global Government and Industry Affairs. A 22-year veteran of the IT industry, Shannon previously had senior public policy roles at the Business Software Alliance and the Information Technology Association of America before joining RSA/EMC.
Kellogg received his Master of Arts in International Transactions from the George Mason University School of Public Policy in Virginia.
