During his over 40 years of practice in New York and Washington, D.C., Roger Feldman chaired the Project Finance/Development Groups of three major international law firms (Nixon Peabody; McDermott Will & Emery; Bingham McCutchen) and the Energy and Environment Practice of Andrews, Kurth & Kenyon (Washington D.C. Office). Roger advised private equity investors, financial institutions, corporate clients and government sponsors on domestic and international energy and infrastructure projects; the commercialization of emerging energy and environmental technologies; pertinent governmental regulatory systems and incentive programs and strategic and transaction structuring matters. For over a decade he has been selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America by his peers.
Roger’s professional work has involved legal/policy issues related to the involvement of private capital in the solution of sustainability-related issues. He currently Chairs the American Bar Association’s Renewable & Distributed Energy Committee. In prior years, he served as a Chair of the ABA’s Committees on Energy Infrastructure & Siting; Carbon Trading & Energy Market Finance; Government & Private Sector Partnership Innovations; and Alternative Energy Resources. He has been a frequent lecturer and authored several articles. Mr. Feldman has been a Director of ACORE and the Chairman of the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships. He served as a Deputy Administrator for Finance and Environment of the Federal Energy Administration and as a Member of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Finance Advisory Board. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School. Yale Law Journal Editors, his M.B.A. with Distinction from Harvard Business School and his A.B. Summa Cum Laude with Highest Honors from Brown University.
