John Eber managed the firm’s activities for tax motivated equity investments in energy assets. He directed a team of 20 professionals who originate, structure and execute investments, and advise other equity co-investors. Additionally, he oversaw Energy Investments’ product development activities, management of its investment portfolio and was a member of its Investment Committee.
Since 2003 John has been responsible for approximately $17 billion of renewable energy tax equity including financings for more than 17,000 megawatts (MW) of wind power; approximately 1,600 MW of solar power projects for utility scale, distributed generation and residential portfolios; and 17 geothermal projects totaling more than 300 MW. John has been with J.P.Morgan and its predecessor companies Bank One and First Chicago since 1988 and retired in 2018.
John served on Board of Directors of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), 2007- 2018, and is a frequent panelist and speaker for a variety of organizations including AWEA, the Solar Energy Industries Association and ACORE.
John received a BA from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois, and an MBA from DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois.
