Cathy Snyder recently retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation after fifteen years. She served ten years as the Vice President of Energy, Environment and Science for Lockheed Martin’s Washington Operations Office. She led the Corporations strategic business initiatives in all energy matters including energy generation, energy efficiency, environmental management, and sustainability businesses for federal, commercial and international clients. Her portfolio included senior executive account management across the U.S. Department of Energy including the National Laboratories, nuclear weapons production and environmental clean-up sites, U.S. EPA, Interior, FERC and the NRC. She also participated in numerous Presidential and federal trade missions on behalf of the Corporation. Cathy also served for five years as a Director of Business Development with Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services where she was responsible for winning new multi-billion dollar Civil and Defense mission support and information technology contracts.
While at Lockheed Martin, she served on the Board of Directors for the Mission Support Alliance, LLC Joint Venture overseeing the three-billion-dollar DOE Mission Support Contract at Hanford; Board of Directors for the American Council on Renewable Energy; Board of Directors for the Alliance to Save Energy; Virginia Solar Regulatory Advisory Panel; as well as other various councils and boards.
Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Cathy held senior level positions with the State of Maryland, Department of the Environment (MDE) for more than twenty-two years, where she last served as the Director of Operations for the Agency for over seven years.
