GE Vernova
Renewables is GE Vernova’s largest business segment. Its investment commitments span 17 countries, and are primarily in wind, solar and hydro-electricity. In 2017, it announced that since 2004, it has invested over $15B in renewable energy globally and plans to continue investing more than $1B annually. Recent notable U.S. investments include the 298-MW Enel Thunder Ranch wind farm, the 253-MW Amazon wind farm and the 250-MW Moapa solar project. The company is focused on investing in innovation, including in the 30-MW Block Island off-shore wind project, the first in the U.S., and is a leader in investing in the U.S. wind repowering market.
