Bill Parsons is the Chief Operating Officer of the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE), a national nonprofit organization that unites finance, policy and technology to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy. In that capacity, he oversees ACORE’s day-to-day operations, including policy, communications and programs.
Prior to joining ACORE, Bill served as Chief of Staff and Legislative Director to Congressman Chris Van Hollen, where his portfolio included climate, energy, finance and the environment. Bill ran the House Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Caucus for eight years and was also a founding Board Member of the Montgomery County Green Bank.
He graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University.
