Frank Armijo retired in early 2022 as the vice president of Lockheed Martin Corp. In this role, Mr. Armijo has overall management responsibility for the performance of Lockheed Martin’s energy portfolio and oversees the business’ strategy, operations and new business. Lockheed Martin Energy delivers full spectrum solutions across the energy industry to include utility and smart grid solutions, energy efficiency, energy storage, nuclear systems and solutions; ocean energy technology and bio energy generation. His portfolio includes programs, customers and employees in over 30 states and multiple countries throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe.
Mr. Armijo has more than 25 years of professional experience with increasing leadership roles within Lockheed Martin. He previously served as a vice president of Strategy & Business Development, as well as vice president of Energy Solutions, where he was responsible for numerous federal and commercial programs across civil government agencies, regulated utilities and commercial businesses. Mr. Armijo also previously served as president and general manager and board member of several multi-billion dollar Lockheed Martin joint ventures supporting Federal Energy programs.
Mr. Armijo is a graduate of Eastern Washington University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems, with a minor in communications following earning an associate degree in arts and an applied science degree in computer science from Columbia Basin College. During his career, he has completed Executive courses at MIT Sloan School of Management and Stanford University. He is a Project Management Professional, a trained Green Belt and has received several of the Corporation’s highest awards, including the IS&GS Golden Eagle, 2005 NOVA Award for Leadership and 2009 NOVA Teamwork Award. In 2011, he received the Executive Excellence Award from the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Awards Corporation. Mr. Armijo is a Paul Harris Fellow and one of the Top 100 Corporate Leaders for STEM.
