Internships: Equity and Inclusion Corporate Engagement

Summary:

The Equity and Inclusion Corporate Engagement intern is responsible for supporting the work and activities of the Accelerate program and broader Accelerate Initiative led by the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs. Interns will gain valuable experience in non-profit program management, renewable energy entrepreneurship, business finance and renewable energy industry developments and issues related to ensuring a more equitable and just transition to renewable energy economy. Interns will report to the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs. Candidates with an interest in diversity, equity and inclusion in business and the renewable energy field are preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and project management support to the Accelerate program through meeting management, scheduling, and managing action items.
  • Connect directly with Accelerate members to ensure access to ACORE activities.
  • Provide strategic research on diversity, equity and inclusion topics.
  • Receive training in Salesforce and assist in data entry tasks.
  • Develop and draft documents to build or retain relationships with sponsors, members, and other supporters of ACORE’s Accelerate program and Accelerate Initiative.
  • Collaborate with team on brainstorming and implementing new ideas, directions, and venues for member engagement and related events.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Current or recent undergraduate student or equivalent experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Previous CRM or database experience a plus
  • Interest in renewable energy and diversity, equity and inclusion a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
