Vishal is responsible for accelerating Walmart’s transition to zero emissions while building new growth businesses underpinned by renewable energy. Before joining Walmart in 2022, Vishal spent nearly 4 years at Orsted, where he was responsible for building and leading the strategy, business development, M&A and finance organizations as CFO and CCO of the company’s onshore renewables development business. Prior to Orsted, he led renewable energy finance and investment activities for Morgan Stanley, including board-level management of two wind energy-focused operating and development platforms. Over the course of his career in the renewable energy industry, Vishal has also driven several transformational enterprise-level M&A and capital raising initiatives, including the successful exits of two private equity-backed companies.
Vishal earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
