Chris Archer joined Macquarie Capital’s infrastructure team in London in 2007 and has since worked across advisory and investment in PPP, renewable energy projects and infrastructure M&A.

During his time in Europe Chris led teams investing into a range of sectors from PPP projects to solar, offshore wind, waste to energy and biomass. The team invested more than €1.4bn of balance sheet capital, primarily as equity, facilitating transactions in excess of €10bn on behalf of clients.

In August 2017, Macquarie acquired the Green Investment Bank, merging with Macquarie Capital’s existing renewable energy investment team to create Green Investment Group, where Chris was deputy head in Europe. In 2018 Chris moved to New York as Head of Green Energy, Americas, leading a team actively investing across onshore wind, solar and energy storage projects.

Chris has a Masters in Civil Engineering from Imperial College and a Masters in Finance from INSEAD.
