Leadership Council
The Leadership Council, a group of high level ACORE members representing all sectors of the renewable energy industry, convenes regularly to shape ACORE's policy agenda, discuss strategy, and network with fellow members.
Mission: The mission of ACORE's Leadership Council is to facilitate expert input on the development of effective public policy for renewable energy, and to provide a channel through which leaders from all sectors of the renewable energy community can have their views known.
Programs: The Leadership Council will carry out its mission by publishing member-authored op-ed statements, hosting quarterly Washington Luncheons, facilitating policy discussion forums, and forming a speakers bureau.

Overcoming Common Myths About Renewable Energy Discussion Points: There is a need for the renewable energy community to both strengthen and unify its answers to frequently asked questions and common misconceptions about the industry. This document contains a wealth of research, and answers common questions, and overcomes misconceptions about the renewable energy industry.
Dinners: The Leadership Council dinners are executive-level gatherings for 100-150 members. Each dinner has a networking hour followed by dinner and a single keynote speech by a noted leader in America. Dinners have been held in many superior locations, including the following:
- 21 Club, New York City
- Library of Congress, Washington, DC
- Carnelian Room, San Francisco, CA
- Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, DC
- Capitol Hill Club, Washington, DC
Governance: The Leadership Council is governed by the Executive Committee, a group of five individuals representing various sectors of the industry who deal with governance and decision making on program strategy, oversight of day to day operations, and overall direction of the Leadership Council.
Speaker's Bureau: A select group of Leadership Council members are available for speaking engagements at conferences, educational forums, networking events, keynotes, or for media interviews. Through the Speaker's Bureau, individuals can search for speakers who specialize in a broad variety of industry topics and submit requests for proposals or contact the speaker directly. Membership in the Leadership Council: Membership is by invitation only, extended initially by ACORE's President, and eventually by the Executive Committee. Your organization must be an ACORE member in order to be part of the Leadership Council.
