ACORE Leadership Council

The Leadership Council, a group of high level ACORE members representing all sectors of the renewable energy industry, convenes regularly to shape ACORE's policy agenda, discuss strategy, and network with fellow members. ACORE member companies designate their top executive in renewable energy as their Leadership Council representative.

The Leadership Council dinners are executive-level gatherings for 70-100 members, and are held in conjunction with ACORE’s largest conferences across the U.S. These invite-only events provide attendees with the opportunity to network with fellow industry executives in an intimate setting. Dinners have been held in many superior locations, including the following:

  • 21 Club, New York City
  • Library of Congress, Washington, DC
  • Carnelian Room, San Francisco, CA
  • Folger Shakespeare Library, Washington, DC
  • Grove Isle Hotel, Miami, FL

Leadership Seminars

leadership council seminarsLeadership Seminars are held regularly in locations throughout the nation, and focus on identifying and overcoming barriers to renewable energy development in the U.S. High level speakers hold roundtable discussions with Leadership Council members with the goal of fostering an open, direct dialogue among leaders in the renewable energy industry.

Past speakers include:

  • John MacWilliams, Senior Advisor to the Secretary, U.S. Department of Energy
  • Heather Zichal, Deputy Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change
  • Senator Dean Heller, (R-NV)
  • Tom Hicks, Under Secretary and Chief Management Officer, U.S. Navy

Leadership Council membership also offers the opportunity for exposure on a national level through op-eds, speaking engagements, media interviews, and press conferences.
