February 12 -- New Jersey just played host to the cleanest and greenest Super Bowl in history. MetLife Stadium has 1,300 solar panels, installed and operated by NRG Energy, which encircle the facility. The venue also has energy-efficient lighting and windows throughout. Clean-energy credits were purchased for the game, as well as for the two Jersey City hotels that the Broncos and Seahawks called home for the week prior to the game. This power came from solar and wind energy produced right here in New Jersey and purchased by the local utility, PSE&G. >>View Article
