January 22 -- The lofty goal proposed by Assemblyman V. Manuel Pérez to fulfill half of California’s power needs with renewable energy sources by 2030 turned out to be a little too lofty for state lawmakers, at least for now.

But his Assembly Bill 177 is still progressing through the Legislature to clear the way for more geothermal and other renewable energy projects around the Salton Sea to help pay for the lake’s restoration. >>View Article
