We need renewable energy now more than ever - wouldn't you agree?
Yes! I want to help the American Council On Renewable Energy fulfill its mission of building a secure and prosperous America with clean, renewable energy. Through my generous support, ACORE can continue to serve as the leading aggregator of information, research and innovation in renewable energy in 2014 and beyond.
Please accept my gift of $20, $50, $100, or more today!
HELP US KEEP RENEWABLES GROWING
The potential benefits derived from a strong, renewable energy supply are many: energy and national security; domestic job growth; and cleaner air and water for all Americans. The time is right for the U.S. to reassert its leadership in scaling up renewables to meet America's energy needs. We are asking for your help to make that happen.
HELP SUPPORT OUR RENEWABLE ENERGY EDUCATION CAMPAIGN
Contribute to ACORE’s renewable energy education campaign. A portion of the proceeds will go towards ACORE’s Fellowship Program. University students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and math can apply to receive a funded fellowship in renewable energy during the summer of 2015.
HERE'S SOME GOOD NEWS ABOUT RENEWABLE ENERGY IN AMERICA
- Global electricity generation from renewable energy sources is expected to rise 40% between 2013 and 2018, outpacing natural gas (International Energy Agency).
- Renewables were the largest source of new U.S. electricity capacity in January 2014, providing over 99% of all new generation capacity (FERC).
- Non-hydro renewable energy capacity accounted for 43.6% of all new power capacity installed worldwide in 2013, raising its share of total generation to 8.5% (Bloomberg New Energy Finance/UNEP).(Bloomberg New Energy Finance)
- A growing number of companies see renewable energy as a business opportunity. Google is currently using renewable energy to power over 34% of their operations and has committed over $1 billion to renewable energy projects (Google).
