Partnership on financing of global renewable power generation assets has never been more important. Powered by strong incentives, feed-in tariffs, carbon abatements and a Clean Energy Finance Corporate, renewable energy development has grown at impressive rates in Australia. The last couple of years has seen a doubling of renewable energy assets coming online in the U.S., powered by winning structure finance strategies from U.S. financiers and developers. Couple both of these factors together and the timing for financing and exchange of infrastructure development strategies between both countries has never been better. ACORE, in partnership with the Australian Trade Commission, with generous sponsorship of Baker & McKenzie, will be conducting a weeklong series of roundtables and “deal-making” meetings to produce significant deals between the US and Australia. Key investors and developers from ACORE will form the 12 corporation delegation, primarily representing ACORE’s US Partnership on Renewable Energy Finance (www.uspref.org). Delegation participants will be encouraged in addition to utilize the many 1-on-1 meeting opportunities organized by the Australian Trade Commission.
