Senior Vice President for Public Affairs
Mark Anderson serves as Senior Vice President for Public Affairs for EDF, Inc., where he supports the EDF Group’s interests in U.S. federal legislative and regulatory policy. Mark has been with the EDF Group for the past seven years.
As one of the world’s leading integrated energy companies, the EDF Group’s generation activities includes 28.3 GW of installed capacity in hydropower and renewable energy. It’s North American affiliate, EDF Renewable Energy, has developed over 7.8 GW of wind and solar projects in the region during its 25+ year history. EDF RE Services oversees the operation and maintenance of 10.7 GW wind and solar facilities in the U.S.
Mark brings over 20 years of international energy infrastructure development experience in the oil, gas, chemicals and water sectors with a commercial focus on project structuring and contract negotiations. Prior to joining EDF, his senior level roles have included International Business Development Manager for Bechtel Corporation and the COO of a financial services firm. Mark began his career in the commodities trading business with assignments in Brazil, France and New York.
Mark earned his B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from INSEAD. He is fluent in five languages. Mark is a native of Washington D.C. where he resides with his wife and three children.
