Rolf Gibbels

Rolf Gibbels is an executive member of IBM’s global  Energy & Utilities organization, and leads the global industry solutions and business development activities with focus on power generation across all IBM brands (services, software and infrastructure).
 
Areas include plant lifecycle information management and asset performance management including all energy sources (renewables, fossil and nuclear energy).
 
He has over 15 years international experience selling and marketing software industry solutions, product lifecycle management (PLM) and  computer aided design (CAD) software to the energy, process, architecture and construction industries.

Prior to IBM, Rolf was director of global market development and energy industry solutions at Dassault Systemes. He focused primarily on developing new initiatives, new opportunities and partner relationships in a burgeoning market now realizing the need for PLM. Before that he was vice president  sales at Bricsnet where he was responsible for business development and sales surrounding their engineering and architectural solutions, and  senior product marketing manager at Visio Corporation (acquired by Microsoft in 2000) where he was responsible for IntelliCAD (OpenDWG) and  Visio Technical.

Rolf holds a masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich, Germany.
