Cathy Snyder serves as the Vice President for Energy & Environment for Lockheed Martin Washington Operations. Cathy supports government relations across federal, state, and international customers for strategic business initiatives in the energy generation, efficiency, environmental management and sustainability businesses. She focuses her company business development support in the solar, wave, ocean thermal, biomass, smart grid, micro grid, and the energy efficiency industries. Prior to this appointment, Cathy served as Vice President for Homeland Security where she shaped strategic relationships, and helped win new business with DHS supporting Lockheed Martin's achievement in becoming the number one contractor to DHS. Preceding this position, Cathy served for five years as the Director of Business Development at Lockheed Martin Information Technology. This Operating Unit was responsible for executing over $1 billion in annual sales for federal civilian and defense information technology programs. Three of those years were focused exclusively in supporting business at the DOE, USDA, DOI, NRC, NOAA and EPA programs. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Cathy held senior level positions with the State of Maryland, Department of the Environment (MDE) for more than 22 years where she served last as the Director of Operations for MDE from 1995-2002.
