Policy & Research Manager
Scott Clausen is the Policy and Research Manager at ACORE. He is responsible for researching and analyzing energy policies, coordinating research, and drafting ACORE publications. Scott also helps manage ACORE’s Partnership for Renewable Energy Finance (PREF) and Partnership for Renewables Integration and Market Expansion (PRIME) programs, along with ACORE’s International Initiative.
Prior to joining ACORE, Scott was a Senior Associate Attorney at the New York City law firm of Nicoletti Hornig & Sweeney where he litigated high exposure construction and insurance coverage cases. He has previous experience at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, and Vermont Law School’s Environmental Tax Policy Institute.
Scott received his law degree from Vermont Law School where he served as the Senior Articles Editor for the Vermont Law Review. Scott received his undergraduate degree in environmental science from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the New York Bar.
